With the exhibition holding philosophies of “large scale, internationalization, specialization and refinement”, and following a nine year history that has seen meticulous development and planning, the Jinjiang Footwear International Exposition (China) is set to celebrate its tenth birthday at the SM International Exhibition Center, Jinjiang, China, from 19-22 April, 2008. The Jinjiang Footwear International Exposition (China) began in 1999. The first year’s event had a total exhibition area of 15,000 square meters. This figure had grown to 40, 000 square meters by the ninth year of the event. Furthermore, the number of trade visitors at the event has also gone up dramatically over the years; the first year’s event recorded a total of 18,000 trade visitor entries into the venue, and this number had risen to 50,000 by the event’s ninth year. Year by year, the event is becoming more and more appealing, influential and fruitful, and it has been named as one of China’s ten most “magical” exhibitions. All the ten expositions are major events on the western bank of the Taiwan Strait.
