 Soles4Souls Honored with Philanthropy Award

International Shoe Charity's CEO and Founder Also Receives Humanitarian Award

Soles4Souls? Inc., the international shoe charity, was honored Tuesday night in New York City at the 24th annual Footwear News Achievement Awards (FNAA) for their extensive work in Haiti and for distributing their 13 millionth pair of shoes.  The Soles4Souls CEO and Founder Wayne Elsey was on hand to receive the award on behalf of the charity.

"This has been an incredible year for our organization and I could not be more proud of my team and all of their hard work," said Wayne Elsey, Founder and CEO of Soles4Souls.  "I am humbled by these awards and grateful that my team feels even more energized to change the world.  However, we have not lost sight of the real goal here.  With more than 300 million children at risk of disease and sickness without footwear, our work is far from finished," he said.

Elsey was also honored on Wednesday night by the New York charity Kids In Distressed Situations (K.I.D.S) with the Humanitarian of the year award for his partnership and support of the organization.  O, The Oprah Magazine Editor-at-Large Gayle King was the celebrity host for the awards and Newark Mayor Cory Booker provided the keynote.  Cole Haan President Tracy Smith presented Elsey with the honor.
