Now THAT'S what we call well-heeled!

Most girls will be familiar with the scenario of commuting to work in comfortable sneakers, with heels tucked into their bag for the office.

But now one company believes it has created the perfect pair of shoes that will see its wearer through the entire day - however smart or comfortable they need to be.

Day2Night Convertible Heels offers each pair with five different heel heights.

All rounder: the Marissa shoe, on sale for $149 at convertible-heels.com, has five interchangeable heels so you can be as tall as you want

Versatile: Day2Night shoes come with five different heel heights that can be easily changed throughout the day at the wearer's whim

The heels, which range from 1.5 to 3.5 inches in height can simply be screwed on and off by the wearer. A flexible sole, which the company says has been rigorously-tested, works with the full range of heels.

At $300 per pair, the Day2Night shoes don't come cheap, but in theory, could replace several pairs of shoes, making them relatively cost-effective.

Wearers can also do away with bulky bags, which they might otherwise have needed to accommodate a spare pair of shoes.

Day2Night co-founder, Candice Cabe, told how the idea for convertible heels was conceived after she packed three suitcases for a business trip, with most of the space dedicated to the shoes she would need for each occasion.
